This year’s E. G. R. Taylor Lecture will take place at the House of the Royal Geographical Society, 1 Kensington Gore, London, SW7 2AR, at 6.30 pm on 13 October 2016. It is organised this year by the Society for Nautical Research and will be delivered by Professor Andrew Lambert who will speak on ‘Finding Franklin: Searching and Science in the Canadian Arctic’. Admission to the lecture is free and no booking is required. Members of the Hakluyt Society, the Royal Geographical Society, the Society for Nautical Research, and the Royal Institute of Navigation, may book supper afterwards by telephoning the Events Office at the RGS on 0207 591 3100 between 1 September and 10 October. The cost is £30 for a two-course meal with coffee and wine or fruit juice.
